I translate from various Romance languages (French, Occitan, Castilian, Catalan, Portuguese, and Italian — both medieval and modern) into English. My translations from the French poetry of Renée Vivien are available through Headmistress Press. Some of my other translations and poems have appeared in Adrienne, Lavender Review, Lunch Ticket, Mezzo Cammin, and other publications.
I have successfully defended my doctoral dissertation in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Pennsylvania. My dissertation offers the first complete English translation of Christine de Pizan’s Cent Ballades d’Amant et de Dame, together with a critical introduction and annotations.
I am currently working as an assistant editor at Indolent Books.
